Skiing
You can’t think of Colorado without thinking of snow skiing.
Colorado’s ski resorts are world famous. Dry air and ample
snowfall provide the legendary “champagne powder”
that skiers crave. Sunny weather, even in winter, makes the skiing
that much more enjoyable.
Just
over Hoosier Pass lies one of the most famous ski counties
in the world, Summit County. Here you can choose from not
one but four world-class ski areas located only 20 minutes
apart. In fact, you could ski all four in one day if you wanted
to.
Closest
to the Ranch is Breckenridge featuring 4 great peaks of skiing
and one of Colorado’s best ski towns with great food
and entertainment. Copper Mountain, Keystone and Arapahoe
Basin are also nearby.
Another
option is to venture south to the lesser-known Monarch Ski
Area. Monarch is not nearly as commercialized as some of the
more famous resorts, but receives some of the highest snowfall
in the state. This quaint ski area offers great affordable
skiing and is located approximately 45 minutes from the Ranch.
