Horseback Riding
And what would a ranch be without horseback
riding? 
Our large parcel of land offers exceptional horseback
riding. There are many ridges over beautiful country that
offer majestic views in every direction you look. Because most
of the land is still in a pristine state you will enjoy horseback
riding through Colorado high country much as the cowboys and
Indians did in earlier centuries. Ride along ridges and view
herds of buffalo in the plains below. Ride through fields of
wild mountain flowers with Colorado’s highest mountains
serving as an almost surreal backdrop.
With
an equestrian center planned for the Ranch, it is
envisioned that ample horseback riding and other horse related
events will become a main staple of activity at Hartsel Springs
Ranch. Owners and guests will be able to choose from simple
hourly horseback rides to more extensive adventures into the
rugged Colorado backcountry. Children will be able to
ride ponies in a corral.
Equestrian trails will abound, so much that some residents may elect
to revert back to a horse as a main mode of transportation
among these parts.
